To relieve your TMJ pain you should consider the following treatments which will address soft tissue problems, joint alignment problems, and excessive inflammation. Dysfunction in these areas leads to TMJ disorders.
- Practice gentle stretches to your jaw, face, head, neck, and shoulders.
- Apply ice packs to your face and jaw for 20 min, then take an hour break 3-4 X per day.
- Massage your jaw and face gently for a few minutes everyday
- Practice your stress relief and relaxation techniques daily
- Have your neck and TMJ joint aligned properly by a qualified Chiropractor
- Have proper massage therapy to your head, neck, and face by a Licensed Massage Therapist
